  1. hex color with copy/paste

    Right now you have RGB and HSV values, but it would be really useful to have a corresponding box with the equivalent color value in hex like #82174D. Photoshop has this functionality, and the value of this feature is that you can copy/paste this hex number from another source like Photoshop or a palette generator like http://paletton.com/ without having to edit every RGB or HSV value. Way faster for building palettes.

    This would work great with an "add to swatch"-type feature as well, but there are several suggestions here to add that already.

  2. Save thumbnails (so we don't have to regenerating them every time) + Save shelf layout

    Everytime I get in SP I have to see how the thumbnails for the materials and smart materials get re-processed. That sucks specially when you have a lot of them (like having the Database), not even considering all the ram it consumes. Would it be possible to save the actual thumbnails once and not changing them unless the material gets updated?

    Also, the layout inside of the shelf doesn't get saved.

  3. uv unwrapping within painter

    Hi! It would be great to have a UV unwrapping sytem inside Painter.
    This way you could work the whole time inside of SP and not jumping from your 3D app to SP.

  5. Export Render to texture from 2D view(Combinde texture as complete map)

    Export complete texture map by 2D view.
    Be able to setting up to custom render texture size and bake output with custom export path.

    Some idea suggest to bake complete map function menu in to export all channel menu.
    Korean almost graphic user working for mobile game ... It is really need for mobile game graphics workflow.

  6. delete textures from textures tab

    I'm not sure if i'm missing anything but i cant for the life of me find a way to delete textures i'm not using anymore in substance. I tried the Clean command, that did a little cleaning, i still have left over stuff.

    i just wanna press Delete or RMB (remove)

  9. Material Groups

    I would like to be able to group materials in different folders, tabs and so on.

    For example all wood related substances should go in wood substances folder. Same goes for metal ones, then same with plastics and so on.

    Otherwise its a mess right now.

  10. Auto reload textures in shelf and layers when the file is updated.

    When a texture file is updated externally please auto reload it inside of substance painter like Maya does. Currently it takes forever to go through your project manually and update all the layers with any work you've done in Photoshop.

  11. Add a text tool

    Add a "Text" tool that allows the user to add text in its texture (2D or 3D view) using a custom font.
    You should also have the possibility to manipulate it (move/rotate/scale).

  12. Enable us to delete textures from the project

    I would like to see an option to delete textures from a Substance Painter Project file to decrease the file size.
    Currently I see no way to remove unwanted or obsolete textures from the Project.

  14. toggle fullscreen using tab key for SP + SD

    I think the headline describes the requested feature :)

    especially when working with Substance Painter, a quick way to toggle fullscreen would help a lot!

  17. Add mask by an existing layer

    It will be nice to allow an existing layer to be turn into a mask that can be use on other layers.

  18. sRGB8 baseColor gets split to 16 bit per channel diffuse and specular on export (png)

    When the baseColor channel is set to sRGB8 and the exporter is set to PNG (16 bit max), exporting to a format such as PBR Spec+Gloss splits the baseColor map into diffuse and specular maps that are each 16 bits per channel. This is a waste as the baseColor was only 8 bits per channel to begin with.

    It would be nice if the default behavior were to use the bit depth of the baseColor map for the newly created maps. Adding 8bit png do the format dropdown would be an added bonus :)

  19. Substance Designer material reload in Painter

    As of right now, if you make a materal in designer and bring it in to Painter and assign it and change something in the material in Designer, Painter does not propogate the changes unless you re-assign the material. This wipes out any custom changes you had on parameters which can be annoying. Awesome stuff though! Keep the changes coming :)

  20. Viewport Texture Set Selection

    Instead of having to select Texture Sets manually in the texture set window it would be more intuitive to be able to Example. 'Hotkey' + Left Click on the geometry you want to paint and have Substance Painter automatically switch to the applicable texture set. Similar to Subtool switching in Zbrush by alt + left clicking on your geometry.
