Copy paste / Drag and drop sub layers and mask layers.
We can already reorder sub layers... However, being able to copy and paste any sub layers/mask layers (filters, fills, levels) is kind of missing. Also, being able to drag and drop them from one layer (or mask layer) to another would be nice.

Yes, this is super important! It's strange that it's not possible to do this already, seems like a basic function...

I really hope the ability to copy&paste effects comes to Substance Painter 2021. What a chore to do this by making a screenshot in one place and typing all the numbers in. Anchor points is a very poor way of handling this.

I jump on the train as I was searching on google if this feature existed and it was me doing something wrong or if literally I couldn't just copy-paste a paint/fill/generator/filter sub layers.
The most needed imo is for the paint sub layer, one thing is to have to reposition a fill layer, another is eventually to have to re-paint something! -

Why is this still not a thing? I'm having to add several masks and move/rotate/scale them each manually to get what I want, when they're the same alpha texture.

I do not understand how such basic feature is being overlooked. Last time I had a software not implementing copy / paste throughout it workflow was .... 1998. Just have an aircraft model in need of many small texts and decals and the amount of work needed to duplicate them on both sides of the hull is unnecessary staggering. For god's sake how could this feature not being implemented?

You can also create a smart mask from your current mask and reapply it where needed.

As a workaround it is possible to create a smart mask and drag that back in. This will add the mask instead of overwriting it.

If the "copy mask and past into mask" wouldn't overwrite the pre-existing masks that would go a long way. Seems like a simple enough change.
But a option to just copy the mask effect and past it someplace else is of cource a lot better. This feature can't get here fast enough and I can't believe it's been more than a year and this hasn't been looked at...

Yes, please, this is absolutely necessary.
As Welch previously said: we need to start from scratch for each fill channel, color, height, roughness... and re-enter by hand each parameter to match other channels.

This would be so handy, one of my most needed features (maybe the most!) since I always work with so many mask layers, which really is one of the best features of Painter.

Effects are at the heart of SP....please get this in there. You should also be able to drag drop from color to mask:

I just had this issue myself. I had a part of the model that i duplicated and used elsewhere, i wanted it to have its own texture because the rotation was different and i want to be sure to pick up the baked light filter info. Parts of the object were masked out and when i tried to apply the texture to the second object the masks were lost, i tried everything and in the end i just had to recreate them, which was a fiddly waste of time.

The same feature has already been suggested here : https://allegorithmic.uservoice.com/forums/261284-substance-painter/suggestions/35533555-duplicate-and-copy-paste-effects . It may be a good idea to vote for it since it has more votes.

I'm working a lot with fill effects on masks to apply gradients and stuff, this is honestly my most wanted feature !

This feature would be awesome. I've spend too much time copying values from a warp/generator to another, while editing complex smart materials i created; where it's very common to see similar masks, for instance different from each other only for a levels sublayer. This would save tons of time to everybody

Copy and paste = basic functionality... please add this asap. Currently, need to start from scratch for each fill channel, color, height, roughness... and re-enter by hand each parameter to match other channels. Find myself doing this far too often... please add copy paste for every node with adjustable parameters.
