  1. Change Field of View in 3D viewport

    Ability to change the camera's FoV in the 3D viewport.

    An Isometric mode would be helpful as well, but mostly the ability to change the angle.

  2. Tri-planar projection for grunge in generators

    This would be really neat if possible to implement, as using generators for masking fill layers at the moment results in seams due to the UV projection. Would be really beneficial if the generators (usually grunge maps in the generators) would be able to project with the tri-planar mode, like regular fill layers can do.

  3. export the map from the editor and not from the exporter.

    right clicking the baked map to save it. maybe even export a "baked" layer, like "this group" merge the layers and export. sometimes (with the NVidia drivers) I can bake my maps and it crashes when I click "export maps", so saving as soon as you bake it you could potentially keep you from losing your bake (and with 2 million poly bakes, it's like 10 minute bake, and if it crashes, well, you get the picture.

  4. interactive brush radius change with R+lmb.

    This would allow us to more quickly change the radius than holding a single hotkey until we got to the radius we want. often times when painting we want to change our radius quickly and interactively using just one hotkey. this would allow it.

    currently the photoshop key is way too far out in the distance from home base ( wasd, shift, control alt ). there is a bit too much keyboard dancing going around.

    Lets make painter as intuitive as possible!. Better yet, add this and a shortcut editor. This way if someone wants to use B+lmb like in…

  5. Ability to name or annotate Generators, Fill Layers, Filters, Effects, etc.

    When making Smart Materials in projects that are used and shared by up to 20 artists, it would be very helpful to be able to name your Layers/Generators/etc, to make it obvious to other artists what your different layers and filters are doing.

    This saves time as otherwise, every artist will have to reverse engineer every Smart Material.

  6. Make a live link with Unity (Realtime)

    One button press to send all current layers to Unity game path and call Unity to compile. So we can look the final result into the game in Realtime. In the Game the asset look different. This allowed Artist to achieve the expectations in Game.

  7. draw line with hold key function

    Please give us the Hold Shift and draw in straight line function same as Photoshop, we really really need it. That for me is the biggest thing Painter is needing right now. Thank You

  8. Ability to disable Projection and Stencil tiling when zooming them out

    Projection and Stencil tiling becomes very disturbing when working with certain images, please add an option to disable it.

  9. possibility export to extended PSD

    Export not only Base color... Height... on one PSD file. But fore example in PSD file, BaseColor and other chanels it is a folder contaning all layers with an correct alpha.

  10. Position map baker based on entire model or custom bounding box

    Have an option to bake a position map based on the entire bounding box of the model. Currently, position maps bake based on the bounds of the geometry in each texture set. This is not ideal if you want to match up weathering details across multiple texture sets.

    A work around we've been using is doing a gradient fill in 3D Coat over the entire model (vehicles made up of many texture sets in this case).

    It would be nice to be able to do this in Painter or Designer and not have to use another software for it.

  11. Fix the pixelated texturing filtering in the viewport.

    Please make the texture filtering in the viewport anisotropic with mips. It's hard to look at the model especially the normal with all the pixelization.

  12. Improve readability of layer stack by indentation and colorization

    Added indentations of child layers and folders and additional colorization of a folder and its children should help improving the readability of layer stacks.

  14. Color Correction Lookup Texture

    Color Correction Lut (Lut stands for lookup texture) is an optimized way of performing color grading in a post effect. Instead of tweaking the individual color channels via curves as in Color Correction Curves, only a single texture is used to produce the corrected image. The lookup will be performed by using the original image color as a vector that is used to address the lookup texture.

  16. Hide Distracting Yellow Mirror Plane

    The large yellow plane that shows the symmetry plane covers the entire other half of the model and has an opacity to it which makes it distracting and hard to see the other side of the model. Maybe have two painting radials on both sides of the model ala zbrush symmetry to indicate reflection but not something that blocks your view and is distracting. Or maybe a toggle to hide it.

  19. Copy selection from mask

    Useful if you have a mask created on another layer and would like to add those same details to another mask. We use this workflow in our studio constantly (using photoshop of course).

  20. Make an Octane Render Export Preset

    I need to have an octane preset, why this matter? Because I use octane, but you have2 models of PBR, and looks like none of them are accurate with octane, because you use glossiness as roughness on specular/glossiness, and I need specular/roughness. and the reason I am asking this is that you now use PBR metal roughness on Substance Painter, witch .......

    Please redefine your definitions,about how to avoid confusions, and make a preset for main renders out there for use, because if we do not have a reliable way to take out the material from substance painter, or designer…
