Besides the humour, the new cartoon about Lego toys has depth in content.
The film tells the journey to protect Ninjago city of Lloyd (Green Ninja) and his teammates from the destroyer Garmadon. Under the guidance of Master Wu, an army of skilled ninjas repeatedly stopped Garmadon, but he was not completely defeated and returned every day.

Ironically, Garmadon is Lloyd's father, making the relationship between the characters more complicated. During a battle, Lloyd uses a special weapon to fight back against Garmadon, but accidentally creates a giant monster that threatens the whole city. Father and son must temporarily put aside their grudges to face this new threat together
