  3. Text - Match Character and Paragraph parameters available in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

    It would be great to have an exact match for Character and Paragraph parameters, including using option/alt right/left arrow to adjust kerning.

  4. Auto-activate collision

    Hey there. Not using Stager daily, I stumbled upon an easy thing I hadn't noticed, and thought hints or clarification could help.

    I saw collisions videos (jeanette's terrazzo chocolate), so I tried something quick.

    I took items, pressed "collision", moved them around… nothing happened.

    I lifted all, lifted down, added collision to the ground… still nothing.

    THEN, I watched again a video and discovered that the collision toggle, HIDDEN under the selection icon, had to be toggled ON manually, OR press the C key.

    I know collision is heavy computing and you don't want it mistakenly on with shouting fans…

  6. Boolean Functions?

    Why don't Boolean functions exist to create more complex 3D shapes and subtract 3D shapes from each other or combine them? I don't want to have to create a hole in a square in photoshop to come back to Stager just to continue modelling.

  7. Bake lighting and ray tracing in stager

    I’m hoping this is a feature that will be implemented sooner than later, but having the ability to bake lighting and ray traced textures on exported models within stager would be a game changer. Thanks Adobe

  9. Save Object Visibility and Position in New Camera

    It would be great if you could setup a "scene" for each camera added.
    For instance if you were able to have 10 objects but in the first camera you only show 5 objects and the other 5 are hidden; and vise versa for the second camera; also in the second camera; if you change the position of the objects this should be captures.

    This will allow you to que render multiple scenes and objects all at once freeing up time. Having to be available to start each render is a bit of a pain when one has multiple projects…

  10. Turntable Rendering

    It would be absolutely amazing if a turntable render feature could be added. Where you could select either 9 / 18 / 36 / 72 Frames and have the camera auto rotate around a center point of the object and render out each view.

    This is very useful for interactive web development, for clients to view products in a viewport from various angles.

  11. Preview SBSAR Materials in Library

    Currently there is no way to preview SBSAR materials in the library. Would be nice to be able to build a custom library of materials and not second guess grey balls.

  12. Wireframe Camera

    It would be very interesting to have an option in the camera to leave only the wires on display, either with the function fully visible and hidden. Similar to other 3d programs. It helps a lot when you have a lot of assets or technical stuff. Thanks.

  13. Issue with rendering on MAcPro 2019

    On MacPro 2019 with big On Macos on several renderings where there is the base material glass the final rendering at any level of detail always gives an incomplete result as you can see in the screenshot. In the example there are several elements with matter so do I use too much or is it the renderer?

  14. Non perspective (camera) view

    Sometimes it's very handy (for example when placing objects) to have non perspective (camera) 2D views. Front, back left, right, top and bottom view can give a perfect view of the situation. Also for product and architectural images it can be very nice to render them in a non perspective view.

  15. Magic Wand tool select same color / material in scene

    When set to 'select similar' the Magic Wand tool should select all the same material / color in the scene.
    When importing an OBJ you get a long list of meshes, it would be great if there was a selection mode to select all meshes with the same color / material so they can easily be put in a folder and be materialized.
    A select connected function (double click on a mesh) would also be nice to select meshes that are next to each other.

  16. Vertex Color

    Vertex color
    Vertex color is a RGBA value that can be applied to any vertex on a mesh. Traditionally, this is used to add diffuse or emissive color to geometry, but with the advent of more powerful game engines and more complex shaders, vertex color can be used to do amazing things!

  17. Shifting camera view

    In some cases for architecture rendering it could be a great help to shift the cameras view -without tilting the cam or changing the eye level. In other apps you can choose a bigger view but mask out only the wanted view to render (save render time). I made some pics to let you understand from a photographers side. Real estate and architecture)

  18. Stager available as a standalone subscription?

    Stager is not available as a standalone subscription. Compared to animation and game development, the presentation of products and architecture is far more based on ‘standard’ materials and there is less need of painting, wear and tear and develop of new materials (Pt, Sa and Ds).
    A Stager only subscription would be far more fitting for (small) product design & architecture studio's / freelancers and would be a welcome addition to the available subscriptions.

  19. CAD import for non-Enterprise plans

    Unfortunately CAD import only seems available in an Enterprise Plan, this seems to conflict with (small) product design & architecture studio's and freelancers all in need for a good materialization and render program, whereas traditional 3D studio already work with programs having those functions (Cinema 4D, Blender, 3DS Max etc).
    Off-course the Substance suite is big value for those studio’s too, but I would say (small) product design & architecture studio’s and freelancers have a bigger need for a program like Stager.

  20. Render every layer as a psd / png file or batch .ssg files

    Hi, I have different bottles in one file, the only difference is their label.
    All lights, cameras, and other stuff are the same.

    Now I have to press render for the bottle "Label A" then click on the eye symbol to deactivate the layer, then click on the eye for the bottle with "Label B", press render, and so on...

    In PS you can select your layers and right-click "quick export as png", it saves every layer as a png file with the layer name.

    Watching render ~50 bottles in 5 languages with a lot of clicks :(
